Clocks- 4 (Four): (1) Seth Thomas Clock Co., Plymouth Hollow, Conn., "Octagon Top" shelf clock with a spring driven, 8 day, time and strike lyre movement in a rosewood veneered case, c1865; (2) E. Ingraham & Co., Bristol, Conn., "Venetian" shelf clock with a spring driven, 8 day time & strike movement in a rosewood veneered case, c1875. (3) Atkins Clock Co., Bristol, Conn., "Round Top" shelf clock with a spring driven, 8 day, time and strike movement in a mahogany veneered case, c1875. (4) New Haven Clock Co., New Haven, Conn., "No. 254" shelf clock with a spring driven, 8 day, time and strike movement in an oak case, c1890.
CONDITION:
(1) The case retains some original finish and has minor veneer loss in several areas. The movement is signed, The "ST" hands have age and may be original, The dial is a laminated paper replacement on the original zinc pan. The bottom door glass is original with in-painting. The top door glass is original; (2) The case finish is original however it is worn on the front of the case. The paper dial is in good condition. The hands are original. The two door glasses are original and the lower glass has had some restoration. (3) The case has been refinished. The paper dial is quite faded. The hands are original. The upper glass is original. The lower glass appears to be a replacement. (4) The case retains some original finish. The paper dial is quite dark. The hands may be replacements. The door glass appears to be original. The movement is signed. Note: The largest measurements are for clock number 4.
